Melinda Carbone

Melinda K. Carbone, 65, of Saint Peters, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Mercy Hospital – Saint Louis.
Melinda Kaye Carbone was born on January 20, 1956 in Rolla, MO, to Andy and Mary Alice (Eaton) Kragh. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon, graduating with the class of 1974. After graduation, she continued her education at Parks College in Rolla, MO, where she obtained her BSN while working for the Sullivan Hospital. Directly following her graduation from Parks College, she remained at the Sullivan Hospital, where she loved and cared for patients for 37 years.
Melinda met her husband, Jack Thomas Carbone, in 1978, and they were united in marriage on June 9, 1979. To their union they were blessed with two children, Anthony and Amy. Together they raised their family in Bourbon for 20 years and were faithful members of the Concordia Lutheran Church, where Melinda played the organ for Sunday services. As a family they loved to vacation and spend time relaxing. Melinda’s nursing career made her appreciate simple relaxation. Melinda and Jack especially loved to travel to San Diego, California. She and Jack also enjoyed spending time in Saint Louis, dining and especially shopping. She also loved going to the Missouri State Fair and shopping there as well.
Melinda was a very strong woman of faith and remained a fighter through whatever challenge life threw her way. She was a shoulder of benefit to many people in need. Melinda was a very thoughtful, loving, caring, intelligent, nurturing and understanding mother, wife, grandmother and nurse. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Melinda is survived by her loving husband, Jack, of Saint Peters, MO; a son, Anthony Carbone and wife Jennifer of Saint Paul, MN; a daughter, Amy Carbone of Sedalia, MO; two grandchildren, Luca Carbone and Sophia Scott; other relatives and many friends.
