Vicki Lynn Holdren

Vicki Lynn Holdren was born in Washington Court House, Ohio, July 11th, 1952, the eldest of ten children to Peggy Owens and Jim Holdren.
All Vicki ever waned in this life was to be a mother and wife. She found her true love in her life partner, Jacky Martin. Vicki was the best mother her children could have asked for. She wore her heart on her sleeve and would go out of her way to help her friends and family. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a hand.
For many years, Vicki worked as a bartender at the American Legion Hall of Valparaiso, Indiana. However, she was best known for her cooking skills. She would cook from scratch and rarely used measuring spoons or cups. She could take all kinds of miscellaneous items, throw them into a pot, and make delicious soup, stew or casserole. Vicki also used to bake breads as gifts during the holidays. She absolutely could not cook for just one person. Everything she ever cooked was always enough to feed an army.
Vicki will be best remembered for her big heart and how deeply she loved others. She only wanted to see the good in people and believe in them always. Vicki was loved more than she knew and will be forever missed in this world.
Vicki is survived by five children: Billy, Patrick, Tawnya, Greg and Kristin; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and seven siblings: Michael, Loelei, Kelly, Jon, Jeff, Suzanne and Donald.
She was preceded in death by her life partner, Jacky Martin; her mother, Peggy Owens; her father, Jim Holdren; and two brothers, Jimmy and Scott.
