George W. Ash, age 72, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Monday, J1anuary 25, 2021 at Cuba Manor – Cuba, MO.

George William Ash was born in Sullivan, MO, June 18, 1948, the son of George W. and Elsie Marie (Parker) Ash. He was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Carter on June 30, 1974 and they were blessed with 46 years together. George was employed by Meramec Industries for 22 years. After he retired from Meramec, he worked cleaning windows for another five years. George was a Christian and attended Pea Ridge Pentecostal Church. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and building model cars. George loved to walk for exercise and could be seen walking with his friends almost every day, until ill health forced him to quit. George will be missed by his family, church family and many friends. 

George is survived by his wife, Barbara Ash of Sullivan, MO; one son, Christopher Ash and wife, Denise, of Sullivan, MO; step grandson, Broderick Dalton of Springfield, MO; one brother, Gary Ash and wife, Judy, of Bourbon, MO; one sister, Patsy Conaway and husband, Bob, of Steelville, MO; three sisters-in-law: Kathy Ash of Cuba, MO, Marilyn Maupin of Sullivan, MO, and Edie Ash of Stanton, MO; and cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Ash; four brothers: Kenny Ash, in infancy, Jerry, Everett and Lloyd Ash; and one sister, Bernice Brewer. 

Cremation arrangements have taken place. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
