Edna Bombach

Edna Ruth Bombach, 84, of Cuba, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at StoneBridge Senior Living – Owensville.
Edna Ruth (Ruwwe) Bombach was born to Benjamin Franklin and Stella Marie (Eoff) Ruwwe, March 4, 1936. Edna Ruth attended and graduated from Guese School, a one room country school. She graduated from Sullivan High School, Class of 1953. Edna Ruth then went to “The Comptometer School of St. Louis, MO.” She started work at S.W. Bell Telephone Co. as a comptometrist operator. After working all day at S.W. Bell Telephone Co., Edna took night classes, and she was able to finish her schooling that way.
On June 5, 1954, Edna Ruth was united in marriage to Kenny Bombach, and to this union three sons were born: David, Daniel and Mark. They were blessed with seven grandchildren: Kelvin, Minda, Dietrich, Bodie, Conrad, Cooper and Tighe. Edna Ruth enjoyed gardening, going to church, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a member of Bourbon Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Edna Ruth is survived by her three sons: Kenneth David Bombach and wife, Criselita, of Japan, MO, Daniel Bombach and wife, Edie, of Japan, MO, and Mark Bombach of Ridgecrest, CA; her seven grandchildren: Kelvin, Minda, Dietrich, Bodie, Conrad, Cooper and Tighe Bombach; one sister, Barbara Zelch and husband, Glenn, of Pioche, NV; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Kenneth Bombach; her parents, Ben and Stella Ruwwe; one brother, Seldon Ruwwe; and one sister, Jane Wittenbrink.
Graveside Services were held 12 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Crow Cemetery – Sullivan.
