Harold Elmer Newhausen

Harold E. Newhausen, 88, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Sullivan. 

Harold was born in Amboy, Illinois, on December 28, 1931, to the late Francis & Mary (Aurand) Newhausen.  Harold graduated from Stillman Valley High School in Stillman Valley, Illinois.  He later married the love of his life, Anna Mae Hoting, on August 17, 1951 in Byron, IL.  To this union three children were born:  Larry, Barbara and Richard.  Harold was employed at Ingersoll Milling Machine Co for many years, until his retirement in 1986.  

Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, and a game of golf from time to time.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Harold is survived by two of his children, Barbara Gobin and husband, Tom, of Sullivan, MO, and Larry Newhausen and wife, Jody, of Oregon, IL; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters:  Betty Barnes and husband, Winefred, of Rockford, IL, Lois Miller and husband, David, of Bryon, IL and Patricia Davis and husband, Eric, of Bryon, IL. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; one son, Richard; and two brothers, Earl & Merle Newhausen. 

Cremation arrangements have taken place.  Services are pending.
