Big City Shooting Incident Leads To Accident, Apprehension Of Suspects

A big time shooting, for local area standards accord Thursday afternoon, leading to an accident and multiple agencies scrambling to arrest three black males fleeing on foot at Highway 185 and Eagle Court Drive

The incident, sounds like something you would hear more often occur in a major city, not Oak Grove Village.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Steve Pelton at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, two deputies observed two vehicles that were involved in a motor vehicle accident ay Highway 185 and Eagle Court, in Oak Grove. As the deputies approached the scene, three black males, who were standing outside of the vehicles retrieved items from inside the vehicle and ran in different directions from the scene.

Scanner traffic with local law enforcement indicated officers were seeking support from multiple agencies as the event began to unfold.
