Threats From Sullivan Man Shut Down County, Steelville Offices
A Sullivan man has been charged after he allegedly made a terrorist threat on Thursday that put offices throughout Steelville on lockdown.
According to the probable cause statement, a witness overheard the suspect say he was going home to get his gun and go to the police station.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the threat and the courthouse, annex building, probation and parole, Department of Family Services, Crawford County Central Communication, Steelville schools and Steelville City Hall were placed on lockdown.
