Robertsville Man Seriously Injured Near Stanton Friday

A 60-year-old Robertsville man received serious injuries in a two vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 44, Friday, February 8, at 3:37 p.m.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol the accident occurred when James R. Rush, 60, Robertsville, operating an eastbound 2013 Ford F-150 in the left passing lane while a eastbound 2014 Freightliner, driven by Christopher L. Land, 44, Belleville, Ill., was in the driving lane when the right rear side of the Rush truck struck the front left side of the Land vehicle.

The Rush vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

Rush, wearing a seatbelt, received serious injuries and was flown by ARCH Helicopter to Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, for treatment.

The Rush vehicle received total damage while the Land vehicle sustained minor damage.
