Vehicle Strikes Utility Pole, Causing Power Outage

A two-vehicle accident Saturday morning, August 11, left some residents in the area of Beeman Street and Hughes Ford without power after a vehicle struck and broke a utility pole.
According to Sullivan Police, officers were dispatched along with Sullivan Fire to the intersection of Hughes Ford Road and Beeman Street after Nicholas Blevins, 18, Sullivan, operating a passenger vehicle northbound on Hughes Ford Road, attempted to pass a northbound 1999 Ford Truck, operated by Hanna Tourville, 25, Sullivan.
