Nan Feese

Nan Feese, age 98, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Life Care Center of Sullivan.

Marjorie Nan was born on April 28, 1920 to Erwin and Eldora (Reberry) Yocum in Mountain Grove, MO. She was united in marriage to Henry Ford Feese on September 6, 1938 and they were blessed with three children, Jim, Mary and Linda. It’s been said, “you will never meet a sweeter person than Nan”. She was a very caring, loving individual with many talents and hobbies including; needle work, quilting, crocheting and stained glass. Nan loved going to the lake with her family and she also enjoyed fishing. She loved to play Bridge with her longtime friends every week. You could consider Nan a world traveler, especially with her friends, Jean and Bernice, as they traveled to many places near and far. Nan was very close with her church family at First Presbyterian, where she was a long-time member. Nan was a wonderful cook and host. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved making it very special for her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Nan had a wonderful life and will be missed by her family and many friends. 

Mrs. Feese is survived by her son, Jim Feese and wife Darla of Bourbon, MO; son- in-law, Derril Harms of Jefferson City, MO; five grandchildren, Kurt Harms of Lee Summit, MO, Bryce Penberthy and wife Tasha of Seattle, WA, Amy Feese of Chesterfield, MO, Blake Penberthy and wife Gina of Sullivan, Charlie Feese and Eva Thurmond of Sullivan; granddaughter-in-law, Kylie Feese of Sullivan, MO; 11 great-grandchildren, Kale Harms, Reese Harms, Ian Penberthy, Mary Penberthy, Braden Grosz, Issy Grosz, Sophia Tyerril, Reagan Thomure, Kate Thomure, Logan Bartle, and Austin Bartle; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Nan was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ford Feese, two daughters, Mary Penberthy and Linda Harms, grandson, Jim Feese, Jr., her parents, Erwin and Eldora (Reberry) Yocum; and three great-grandchildren, Carrie Harms, Corrie Harms and Madison Bartle.

Funeral Services were conducted 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sullivan, with Pastor Ron Koppelmann officiating. Interment is in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mountain Grove, MO.  

Visitation was held from 10-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, at First Presbyterian Church in Sullivan. 

Memorial Contributions may be given to the Life House Youth Center in Sullivan. 

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan and Bourbon, MO.
