Virginia B. Woods

Virginia B. Woods, age 77, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO.

Virginia Bell Miller was born on November 3, 1940 to the late Fred P. and Estora Helen (Collins) Miller, in Sullivan, MO. She grew up and attended Sullivan schools and was in the graduating class of 1957. Virginia was united in marriage to Bennie Woods on September 30, 1961 and they were blessed with one son, Kenny. Virginia was a stay-at-home mom for many years and then she went to work for Wal-Mart for twenty years, where she stocked shelves and was a door greeter. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, playing board and card games and croquet. Virginia will be missed by her family and friends.

Virginia is survived by one son, Kenny Woods (wife, Janet) of Union, MO; one brother, James Miller (wife, Ethel) of Sullivan, MO; six grandchildren, Corey Woods (wife, Randi) of Bourbon, MO, Tashia Immekus (husband, A.J.) of Sullivan, MO, Chase Woods of Springfield, MO, Trevor Woods of Sullivan, MO, Trista Woods of Sullivan and Alina Brown (Chris Lane) of Washington, MO; three great grandchildren, Wesley Immekus, Malachi and Jeremiah Lane; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Woods; her parents, Fred P. and Estora Helen (Collins) Miller; two brothers, Charles and Walter Miller; and two sisters, Shirley Miller and Marie Collins.

Visitation was held from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

Funeral Services were conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home with Brother John Ripley and Pastor Don Mitchell officiating. Interment followed in Buffalo Cemetery in Sullivan.
