Camper Destroyed In Fire Next To Home Monday Morning

The cause of a camper fire, next to a home at 130 Highway WW, early Monday morning, Dec. 18, is under the investigation of the Missouri State Fire Marshal's Office.

Sullivan Fire was called to 130 Highway WW, the Charles Nappier residence, at 3:13 a.m. for a report of a camper on fire next to a home.

Firefighters arrived and found the camper fully involved with fire and smoke coming from a home just feet away from the main fire.

“The camper was fully involved with flames impinging on the house,” said Sullivan Fire Chief Eric Lewis. “Our firefighters were able to quickly stop the fire from spreading to the home due to the quick response.”
