Two Women Charged In Steelville Drug Raid

In the evening hours of November 10,2022, members of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, the Steelville Police Department and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group executed a search warrant in Steelville, Missouri. Seized during the search was 2 1/2 lbs. of methamphetamine, 10 oxycodone pills, items of drug paraphernalia, one handgun and $10,920.00 in United States Currency. At the time of the investigation there were two juveniles in the residence. Two female subjects were arrested and transported to the Crawford County Adult Detention Center.

On November 11, 2022 both suspects were charged in Crawford County Associate Court with the following charges:

Joann Weller, 39, of Steelville, was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Class C Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance- Class D Felony, Endangering the Welfare of a Child involving Drugs-1st Degree-Class D Felony, Unlawful Use of a Firearm-Possessing a Weapon with a Felony Controlled Substance-Class E Felony, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Class D Misdemeanor, there was No Bond set.

Sarah Gaghen, 39, Steelville, was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Class C Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance- Class D Felony, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Class D Misdemeanor, with No Bond set.

The suspects are presumed innocent of all charges until proven guilty in a court of competent jurisdiction.
