Two Killed In Head-On Collision On Highway 47

Two people were killed early Monday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 47, north of Airport Road in Franklin County. 

The double fatality occurred at 5:48 a.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when a 2006 Toyota Highlander, driven by Sabrina D. Bonfliglio, 26, Sullivan, crossed the center line to pass a vehicle in front of her. Bonfiglio’s vision was obstructed by a hill.

A 2015 Cadillac SRX, driven by Kevin E. Snyders, 67, Augusta, put on his brakes to stop. 

The two vehicles collided head-on. 

The impact caused Bonfiglio’s vehicle to travel off the road and overturn. 

Bonfiglio was pronounced deceased at the scene at 6:43 a.m.

Snyders was rushed to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis where he was pronounced deceased at 6:31 a.m.

Neither driver was wearing a safety device.
