Teen Injured When Truck Slides On Ice, Overturns
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a teen driver overturned his vehicle after initially sliding on a patch of ice Jan. 29.
Brendan M. Callahan, 18, Florissant had minor injuries in the crash, which happened on Interstate 44 at the 217 mile marker in Crawford County.
The crash happened at 7:10 a.m.
Callahan was traveling eastbound in a 1999 Ford Ranger. The vehicle struck a patch of ice, slid off the road and struck the cable median barrier.
The vehicle then overturned.
Callahan was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a seat belt.
