Suspected DWI Crash Seriously Injures Two

Two people had serious injuries early Saturday morning after a suspected DWI crash on Highway O in Crawford County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Amber N. Smith, 26, Cuba, drove a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox into a group of trees.

The vehicle overturned and came to a rest on its side.

Smith and a passenger,Sheri E. Miller, 34, Cuba, had serious injuries.

They were taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment. The highway patrol said neither occupant had a safety device.

Smith was arrested at 5:06 a.m. She was released to the hospital.
