Sullivan Man Receives Serious Injuries In Accident On Highway 100

A Sullivan man had serious injuries following an accident Wednesday afternoon on Highway 100 near Thornton Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the accident occurred around 2:20 p.m.

A 2011 Toyota Yaris driven by Matthew Taylor, 30, Pacific, crossed the center line and struck a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Adan Aracheta, 27.

Iracheta’s vehicle crossed the center and into the westbound lanes, striking a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Dale Strothkamp, 57, Sullivan.

Strothkamp was taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington. He was wearing a seat belt.

Iracheta was taken by Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Taylor was uninjured and wearing a seat belt.

All three vehicles had total damage.
