Sullivan Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charge
A Sullivan man has pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge.
Thomas C. Crimmins, 51, admitted in January that he took nude photos and filmed a sex act with a 17-year-old with whom he was in a relationship.
Crimmins and the victim were together in 2017.
He admitted texting three nude and semi-nude pictures to her just a day after she broke up with him.
Crimmins threatened to send the photos to the victim’s mother.
Prosecutors are seeking a 25-year sentence, while prosecutors will ask for the mandatory minimum of 15 years.
The case is being presided by U.S. District Judge Audrey Fleissig.
Crimmins said he did not know he was breaking the law by shooting the videos.
