Sullivan Man Charged With Domestic Assault
A Sullivan man was arrested Jan. 28 after he allegedly assaulted a female victim.
Jimmy D. Henry, Jr., 53, was charged with third-degree domestic assault. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Henry, who was reportedly intoxicated and carrying a loaded rifle, is accused of assaulting the victim. She fled into a bathroom and Henry allegedly forced his way in while she was on the phone with 911.
The victim was able to escape and went to another room, taking the rifle with her and locking the door.
She told deputies they had been arguing throughout the day via text messages. When she came home, Henry was intoxicated and armed, along with making suicidal comments.
When deputies arrived, Henry was in the driveway and detained.
