St. Louis Man Found Deceased In Hot Tub

A St. Louis man was found deceased in a hot tub February 11 at a residence in the 900 block of Lynwood Dr.

According to Sullivan Police, they were called for a drowning around 10:02 a.m.

Emergency crews arrived to find the victim, identified as Gary McDaniel, 64, deceased in the hot tub. McDaniel had been in the tub alone for more than three hours.

Sullivan Police Lt. Jeffrey Rorher reported that an autopsy is being performed through the

Crawford County Coroner’s Office and results should be released soon.

Toxicology results will take six to eight weeks.

The case is under the investigation by the Sullivan Police Department and foul play was not

suspected.

The circumstances surrounding the drowning involving the victim were not available at press

time and authorities were not aware of any medical concerns.
