Robertsville Man Charged After Striking Girlfriend
A Robertsville man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend by hitting her in the nose with his elbow.
Michael Waters has been charged with second-degree assault. His bond has been set at $50,000.
The incident happened in the area of Cedar Valley Drive in Villa Ridge.
When deputies arrived, they made contact with a 44-year-old female who claimed she had been assaulted by her boyfriend.
The victim stated while she was involved in a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, he elbowed her in the nose causing her to receive a substantial injury.
The deputies on the scene located evidence supporting the female's claim.
The suspect was located on the scene, placed under arrest. and transported to the Franklin County Adult Detention Facility.
