Railroad Closing At Elmont

PSA: Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) informed us that the railroad crossing at Elmont and Main St. will need be closed for construction Wednesday 11/29/2023 from the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is to replace the cantilever on the south side of the crossing that was hit by an automobile earlier this year. Although they do not anticipate the crossing to be closed for the full aforementioned time but safety will be our number one priority, if we complete the project ahead of schedule we will notify you that a detour will no longer be needed.
