Multiple Tractor Trailers Crash On I-44, Injuring Two

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two people were injured Wednesday morning in a crash involving two tractor trailers.

Deep Deep, 25, Fresno, Calif., and Sushil Nonamegiven, 22, Sacramento, Calif., were taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for moderate injuries.

Both were passengers.

The highway patrol said the two occupants were traveling in a 2016 Freightliner on Interstate 44 near the 220 mile-marker around 4:10 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle — Kaushal Nonamegiven, 24, Fresno, Calif., failed to observe another Freightliner — driven by Jose Aparicio, 57, Legigh Acres, Fla., — that was traveling slow due to the road conditions.

Kaushal Nonamegiven struck the towed unit of Aparicio’s rig.

Neither driver was injured and both were wearing seat belts.
