Man Who Assaulted Wife Subdued By Stepdaughter’s Chokehold

A Bourbon man who allegedly assaulted his wife was subdued by his stepdaughter, who wrapped him in a chokehold until police could arrive on scene.

Michael Obremski, 56, has been charged with two counts of third-degree domestic assault.

Police arrested Obremski on Nov. 3 at his residence in the city of Bourbon.

The officer arrived to find the stepdaughter holding Obremski down with her legs wrapped around her torso and her arms around his neck.

The wife was holding Obremski’s arms.

Obremski was released from their clutches as police took over.

Obremski claimed he was arguing with the wife when the stepdaughter assaulted him. He had alcohol coming from his breath and admitted to drinking.

The victim had marks below her eye and on her neck.

She told police she walked into the bedroom and asked Obremski about an app. He began yelling at her and calling her names.

She grabbed a blanket off the bed and Obremski grabbed her, shoving onto the bed. He then punched her in the nose and held his hand over her mouth.

The stepdaughter came in and grabbed hold of Obremski by the neck. As she grappled with him, Obremski punched his wife in the face. The wife then held Obremski’s arms and they dragged him to the ground.

Another stepdaughter called 911.
