Man Crashes Motorcycle Following Pursuit
A St. Peters man was arrested Aug. 11 after leading a Crawford County sheriff’s deputy on a pursuit that ended with him crashing his motorcycle.
The suspect faces charges of resisting arrest, escape or attempted escape from custody and careless and imprudent driving.
The probable cause statement said the pursuit began around 12:45 a.m. on Highway 19.
The man rode his motorcycle at 50 mph in a 25 mph zone.
The deputy attempted to catch up to the motorcycle, which went east on Highway 8. After passing Highway TT, the vehicle slowed down, stopped and performed a U-turn.
