Man Charged With Stealing Brother-In-Law’s Car

A Pacific man was arrested Nov. 30 in Pacific after stealing his brother-in-law’s vehicle.

Joseph Weatherby, 30, was charged with stealing a motor vehicle.

The probable cause statement says a Hyundai Accent was stolen from the St. Clair area on Nov. 25.

The victim said he could see Weatherby on his security camera. Weatherby allegedly broke into the vehicle at 11:50 p.m. and left nine minutes later.

The stolen car was found Nov. 30 at the Pilot truck stop in Pacific.

Weatherby was arrested and taken to jail.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said he had capsules with a white powdery substance, which were forwarded to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Laboratory.
