Man Allegedly Brandished Gun At Partygoers
A Cuba man was arrested after he allegedly brandished a gun at a group of partygoers Dec. 31 at the Landers Trailer Park.
Matthew Z. Jackson, 40, faces one count of unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of unlawful possession/transport/manufacture/repair or sale of an illegal weapon.
Jackson is being held on a $75,000 bond.
According to the probable cause statement, Jackson pointed a gun at a group of people “who were drinking and having a good time.”
Jackson also had a physical altercation with another person in the group.
Jackson later told a sheriff’s deputy that a group of people kept him from accessing his vehicle.
Jackson, who left the scene before deputies could arrive, was located at his residence.
He denied possessing any firearms, but a search warrant turned up a shotgun and ammunition in his home.
