Home Damaged In House Fire Believed Arson
The year 2021 has brought about several vacant house fires within the Sullivan Fire Protection District and this past week, yet another home has been determined to be intentionally set on fire.
Sullivan Fire was called to 329 Sewell St. at 5:13 p.m. after smoke and flames were observed coming from a garage attached to the home.
According to Sullivan Fire Marshall Corey Rice, in his investigation, he ruled out any natural causes for contributing factors in the ignition source of this fire loss. There were no storms or lightning in the area at the time of the fire. All utilities were disconnected from the home and were not a contributing factor.
