Franklin County Voters Reject Proposition ECC
Franklin County voters on Tuesday rejected Proposition ECC.
As of 9:56 p.m., Franklin, Crawford and Washington counties had all voted against the proposition, which would roll the debt service levy into the operating levy.
Franklin County voters went against it by a small margin — 3,982 “no” ballots against 3,744 “yes” ballots.
It was a difference of 3 percent.
In other elections around the Sullivan area, Frank Blanton received 284 votes in a three-way race for the Sullivan Fire Protection District’s board of directors.
Tim Leasor received 233 votes and James Johnson 98 votes.
In a three-way race for Ward 1 Alderman, Mark Dalton received 59 votes to Gary Pondrom’s 51 and David Cochran’s 14.
Ward 2 Alderman Jason Alexander and Ward 2 Alderman Randy Counts were unopposed.
The Spring Bluff R-XV School District’s Proposition C.A.R.E. received 77 percent approval.
In the Strain-Japan R-16 School District, Olivia Bryan received 50 votes and Donald Mattingly received 39, making them the top two.
Justin Williamson received 32 votes.
