Filing For Offices Open Until December 28

Filing in the City of Sullivan, Villages of West Sullivan, Miramogoua, St. Cloud, Oak Grove and Charmwood along with School Boards in Sullivan, Spring Bluff, Strain Japan all are now open along with Sullivan Fire Protection Board of Directors. The filing  runs through Tuesday, December 28.

This is a change that has shortened the filing time for the April 5, 2022 Municipal Election do to changes in Missouri State Statue.

In the City of Sullivan one unexpired term in Ward One will be filled along with Alderman Ward One, Two and Three, two-year terms.

Chris Bunk was appointed by Mayor Dennis Watz and the Board of Alderman to fill the one-year unexpired term of former Ward One Alderman Tony Wessler who resigned in October. Bunk will fill the position until the April 5, 2022 election unless he chooses to file for the office and will then compete against any other individuals who file.

Those Alermanic positions open are currently held by Ward One Alderman Dr. Mark Dalton, Aldermen Ward Two, Jason Alexander and Alderman Ward Three, Paul McCulloch.

No incumbent has announced at press tine whether they will see re-election.

In the Villages mentioned above two, two-year terms are open on each of the boards with the exception of Miramigoua Village which has three positions for trustee.

The Crawford County Public Water and Sewer District #1 has three positions open for the April election that include one-three year term in sub-district five, one-two-year unexpired term in Sub-District Two and one-one year unexpired term in Sub District Three.

In local school boards the Sullivan School District will elect two people to three year terms with incumbents Randy Stack and Robbie Berti up for re-election should they file.

The school Districts in Spring Bluff and Strain Japan will also elect two individuals to three year terms as well.
