Distracted Driver Rear-Ends Vehicle, Injures Two
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a distracted driver rear-ended a vehicle Nov. 17 on Interstate 44, injuring two.
Cierra R. Schobl, 25, Sullivan, and Hannah M. Watson, 27, Gray Summit, had minor injuries after their vehicle was struck from behind.
The highway patrol said Schobl was slowing down in the eastbound lane near the 248 mile marker.
A 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Ryker D. Miller, 18, Alhambra, Ill, was distracted and struck the rear of Schobl’s 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Schobl was wearing a seat belt, while Watson was not.
Both vehicles had total damage.
