Council Approves Election Results, Ordinances, Appointments
The Sullivan City Council held an open session on Tuesday, April 15, during which it approved the results of the April 8, 2025, Municipal Election and authorized payment of monthly bills totaling $1,864,017.13. Additional actions included approving a street closure request, reviewing one bid, passing three ordinances, and hiring a new Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer.
The Sullivan Car Club received unanimous approval to close 647 Fisher Drive on August 23 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Billy Parker Memorial Car Show, to be held at the Silo Restaurant.
The council received a single bid from West Contracting for the T-Hangar Taxiways Rehabilitation project. The bid is currently under state review due to project funding requirements.
Three ordinances were approved:

Ordinance 4055: Approves a 13-lot major subdivision located along North and South Roads and Mesa Drive, owned by RMJ Properties.

Ordinance 4056: Approves a 14-lot major subdivision at the west end of Modern Street, owned by SKMT LLC.

Ordinance 4057: Approves a 2-lot minor subdivision along ChaseCo Drive, which lies within both Oak Grove Village and the City of Sullivan, owned by Acid Mine Properties, LLC.
All three subdivision proposals had previously been approved by the Sullivan Planning and Zoning Commission on April 8.
The council also confirmed several appointments:

In a closed session, the council approved the hiring of Joanna Fajardo as Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer at pay grade 9-2, with a wage of $20.28 per hour.
