Bartle, Stack Win School Board Seats; Counts Unseats Incumbent For Council; Goodman, Reed Cruise In Spring Bluff; Spring Bluff Proposition Passes

With votes counted across all three counties on Tuesday night, there will be new faces joining the Sullivan School District and Sullivan City Council.

Jim Bartle (publisher of the Independent News) unofficially received 281 votes in Crawford, Franklin and Washington Counties.

He received 175 votes in Franklin, 95 votes in Crawford County and 11 votes in Washington County.

Incumbent Randy Stack received 155 votes in Franklin, 64 in Crawford and 12 in Washington.

Incumbent Robby Berti received 149 votes in Franklin, 69 in Crawford County and two in Washington.

Stack’s unofficial tally of 231 votes pushed him to another three-year term.

In the city of Sullivan, former Police Chief Randy Counts unseated incumbent Ward 3 Alderman Paul McCulloch. Counts had 67 votes in Crawford County to McCulloch’s 33 and 17 votes in Franklin to his 11.

The Spring Bluff R-15 School Board saw Kurtis Reed and James Goodman receive the most votes in a field of five candidates.

Reed was the lead vote-getter with 167, which was 31% of the total.

Goodman received 150 votes — 28% overall.

Jordan Tod had 113 votes — 21%.

Maggie Reinhold received 75 votes — 14%.

Jacob Lambert had 17 votes — 3%.

The Spring Bluff R-15 proposition to increase the operating levy was approved with 58% of the vote.

Village of St. Cloud

In the village of St. Cloud, there were four candidates running for two positions.

Sean Flowers and Darrel Bosse each received 11 votes.

Cliff Thexton and Jordan Thexton each got six votes.
