Autopsy Finds No Cause For Sullivan Child's Death

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is still awaiting toxicology reports in an effort to determine the cause of death for 2-year-old Sullivan resident Liam Fangers, son of Austin and Samantha Fangers, Sullivan, who was found unresponsive at a home in the 400 block of East Springfield Monday, January 30, at 11:03 a.m.

Members of the Missouri Baptist Ambulance EMS, Sullivan Firefighters, Sullivan Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies rushed to the home moments following the 911 call, in which the child was reported unconscious and not breathing.

“The autopsy was completed with no cause of death determined, no obvious issues,” said Franklin County Sheriff Steve Pelton on Monday, February 6. “We will be awaiting the toxicology reports from the autopsy to come in but those will take weeks to come in.”

Liam Fangers was laid to rest Monday, with services under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.

Condolences to Liam’s family may be done at www.eatonfuneralhome.com.
