Woman Shot By Officers Charged With Assault
A woman accused of driving her vehicle towards law enforcement and being shot by a Crawford County sheriff's deputy has been charged.
Charges were issued Sept. 3 against the subject, who is a Steelville resident.
She has been charged with one count of first-degree assault against a law enforcement officer and second-degree domestic assault.
The woman had a gunshot wound to the arm and was flown to St. Louis for treatment.
The deputy has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of a Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) investigation.
