Victim Shot By Pellet Rifle Suffers Eye Injury
A Sullivan man faces several charges after he reportedly shot up a victim with an Airsoft rifle containing plastic pellets.
The suspect, 40, is accused of shooting the victim in the face and head.
One of the shots caused a serious eye injury, while another shot struck the victim in the back of the ear.
The rifle fired pellets at 375 feet per second and was equipped with a 350-round spring-loaded magazine.
He has been charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, third-degree assault and first-degree property damage.
The victim was transported to a St. Louis hospital l for emergency care.
