Two Injured After Vehicle Strikes Ice Patch, Tree On Highway C
Two people had injuries early Monday morning when the vehicle they were traveling in struck an ice patch on Highway C and then a tree.
Rachel Losh, 24, Owensville, and Charles Person, 31, Columbia, had moderate injuries.
They were taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.
Neither occupants were wearing safety devices.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 8:57 a.m.
Losh was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer when she drove across an ice patch east of Rustic Acres.
She over-corrected, went off the roadway and struck a tree.
The vehicle had total damage.
