Leasburg Man Arrested On Several Outstanding Warrants

A Leasburg man wanted on 13 charges, some dating back to September 2022, was arrested March 9.

Jerrod Fife, 48, is being held without bond on seven of the 13 charges.

The other six charges total $295,000 in bond, with special conditions.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation was initiated last September regarding a suspect engaging in harassing communication, tampering with a victim, and violating of a Protection Order.

During the course of the investigation enough evidence was obtained for 10 warrants to be issued on September 7 and 8, 2022, for Fife, however he remained at large.

Fife failed to show up for court in three other cases involving Harassment, Stealing, and Tampering with a Witness in October 2022, resulting in additional warrants for his arrest being issued, totaling 13.

Attempts were made to locate Fife over the next few months without success.

A deputy on patrol located a Fife on March 9 walking along Brand Road in Bourbon.

After making contact, the subject advised an alternate name, requiring the deputy to request a supervisor respond with a mobile finger print reader.

Shortly after the request, the subject identified himself as Fife, and he was taken into custody without incident.
