Commissioner Responds To Road Issues Raised By Potential 2024 Opponent
Crawford County District 2 Commissioner Jared Boast said he reached out to a list of residents who reportedly complained about the condition of their roads to his potential opponent in the 2024 election.
Randy Chander, who online has declared that he will run against Boast in the Republican primary this August, addressed the county commission Dec. 12 with the names of residents he claimed to have talked with.
Chandler is a former District 2 employee and now works for District 1.
According to the minutes, Chandler was there on behalf of 24 residents living on 17 roads maintained by Boast’s District 2 operation.
Boast shared the notes that he compiled from speaking with each resident. Some residents on the list never returned messages. Some discussed the road issues and according to the notes, some were understanding.
Boast provided a list of work that had last been performed on each road.
