Bourbon Man Dies In Crawford County ATV Crash
A Bourbon man was killed late Friday night in a single-vehicle crash at Ransom Road and Old Leasburg Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 11:40 p.m. July 3 when a southbound 2024 Polaris Sportsman failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, according to the crash report. The impact ejected the driver.
The driver, a 44-year-old Bourbon man, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:59 p.m. The patrol reported he was not using a safety device.
The man’s name was not listed in the crash information provided, though the report stated next of kin had been notified.
The Polaris sustained extensive damage and was towed by Chris and Sons Towing. The driver was transported by the Crawford County coroner to the Crawford County Morgue.
