Bourbon Man Charged In Suspected Road Rage Incident That Partially Paralyzed Woman

Charges were filed Nov. 12 against a Bourbon man who struck a woman following a suspected road rage incident and put her in the hospital for more than 80 days.

Joseph Voisey, 35, has been charged with first-degree assault.

The incident allegedly occurred Aug. 17 in Bourbon.

The victim has been identified as Jamie Peters. Peters suffered a serious head injury, which required the removal of a portion of her skull. Her left side remains partially paralyzed.

Voisey is in custody at the Crawford County Jail where he has pleaded not guilty.

A bond hearing is scheduled for Nov. 23.
