St. Clair Man Is County’s 29th COVID-19-Related Death
The Franklin County Health Department reported Friday that a 79-year-old St. Clair man has died due in part to COVID-19.
He is the 29th county resident to die from the virus and the 11th since Aug. 15.
Franklin County reported 42 more cases, bringing its total to 1,682.
The 10-day rolling total is 306 and the 14-day average of new cases is 32.
Franklin County’s positivity rate is 5.97 percent and over the last 14 days, 10.71 percent.
There are now 13 people infected with the virus in long-term care facilities.
Hospitalizations decreased to 13.
Community Testing
A community testing event will be held Oct. 2-3 at East Central College, located at 1964 Prairie Dell Road.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 2 and 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Oct. 3.
