No Changes To Franklin County Numbers

Franklin County did not report any changes to its COVID-19 numbers on Friday morning.

There remain 32 active cases, 87 recoveries and 15 deaths.

Nineteen of the 32 active cases are in skilled nursing facilities and the other 13 reside elsewhere in the county.

Since March 23, there have been 134 cases.

Presiding Commissioner Tim Brinker said in an update that the commission will be taking action next week on items relative to COVID-19 spread.

An air purification system will be installed at the existing and new detention center to prevent and eliminate airborne droplets of COVID molecular content.

The Franklin County Collector will receive software development and application to allow for offsite bill pay via mobile device, laptop or home computer.

Brinker said this will minimize the need for physical payment processing in the Government Center, minimizing a host opportunity for the virus.

Additional plexiglass shields will be installed throughout high-risk areas and thermometers, PPE, testing swabs will be implemented.
