Two more people have died as a result of COVID-19 complications in Franklin County, bringing the total to 87.

Both patients were residents at the Grandview Healthcare Center in Washington.

"Please keep all of our lost in your thoughts and prayers," said Presiding Commissioner Tim Brinker.

Only one new case was reported by the health department Thursday morning. There are 88 cases in total. The 88th case is a 71-year-old man from Lonedell who is in self-quarantine.

Brinker said in a press release the county continues planning for a business re-entry when Gov. Mike Parson rescinds the 'Stay Home Missouri' order, which expires April 24.

"We have indeed met the Pandemic Task Force criteria," Brinker said.

The criteria are as follows:

All with COVID-19 symptoms can be tested.
