Franklin County Reports 356 New COVID-19 Cases, Four New Deaths

Franklin County said four more people have been confirmed to have died due in part to COVID-19.

The deaths occurred in August and include a 58-year-old Sullivan woman, a 73-year-old Sullivan man, a 51-year-old New Haven man and a 60-year-old Labadie man.

Franklin County has lost 191 residents due to the virus.

The county said in its weekly report Friday that 356 new cases have been detected, with a daily average of 42 cases per day over the last two weeks.

Franklin County’s hospitalization rate dropped from 25 to 14 week-over-week.

There were five active cases in long-term care facilities.

The county has reported 11,797 cases, 2,955 probable cases and the seven-day positivity rate is 13%.
