Franklin County Records 12 More Cases

Franklin County has added 12 more cases of COVID-19, with 48 in Washington.

The recoveries stand at 13 and there are still three deaths.

Four cases are in Sullivan.

Presiding Commissioner Tim Brinker said in a press release that he spoke with Gov. Mike Parson and Dr. Randall Williams about the county's biggest needs: more test kits, additional PPE for nursing home staffers and county first responders with emphasis placed on gowns.

"I also requested a single point of contact for submittal of all Franklin County COVID-19-related expenses so that we could begin the process of repair.

According to Brinker, Parson and Williams were accommodating. More test kits were sent out and they are receiving contacts from Missouri companies stepping up to provide more PPE.

Brinker said the partnership is working between the state and county.
