County Reports Eight New COVID-19-Related Deaths, Toll Rises To 57
Franklin County reported that eight more people have died due in part to COVID-19, raising the toll to 57.
Eleven new deaths have been reported this week.
According to the Franklin County Health Department, the deaths are:
67-year-old Gerald woman;
83-year-old St. Clair woman;
83-year-old Union man;
77-year-old Union man;
79-year-old Pacific man;
82-year-old Washington man;
77-year-old Washington woman; and,
94-year-old Washington woman.
The health department said the state has provided information indicating they have additional documentation for deaths within the county that will come out over the next few days.
New Cases
Sixty new cases were reported on Friday. Franklin County’s total stands at 3,239.
The 10-day rolling total is 495 and the 14-day average of new cases is 50.29.
The testing positivity rate is 7.72% and 16.31% over the last 14 days.
Active long-term care facility cases dropped to 56 and there are 12 hospitalizations.
