County Reports 13 COVID-19-Related Deaths

Franklin County reported Sunday that 13 people have died due in part to COVID-19.

This raises the death total to 108.

A 65-year-old Leslie man’s death was reported Wednesday, making him the 95th fatality.

The deaths are: 

74 yo Male, Pacific
88 yo Male, New Haven
74 yo Male, New Haven
90 yo Female, New Haven
81 yo Male, Catawissa
88 yo Male, Union
47 yo Female, St. Clair
94 yo Male, Union
93 yo Male, Washington
77 yo Male, Union
74 yo Male, Lonedell
80 yo Male, New Haven
55 yo Male, Pacific

The county also reported 61 new cases on Sunday as the mask order expired at noon.

“The Franklin County Commission continues to urge our citizenry to continue being responsible and practice recommended measures to minimize the exposure/spread of (COVID-19),” according to a press release on Sunday.

The county has reported 6,305 total cases, with a 10-day rolling total of 596.

The seven-day average of testing positivity rate has dropped to 19.4%.

There are 31 active cases in long-term care facilities and 22 people hospitalized.
