Turnout High For First Ever Arts In Action
An event that showcased the artistic side of Bourbon students had high turnout Thursday at the high school.
Art displays, interactive projects and musical performances greeted patrons who attended the first-ever Arts In Action event.
Arts In Action is a way to showcase the arts-related programs. Several displays were spread throughout the building.
Attendees could participate in some of the art projects, like paper marbling, water color, looming, sculpture, sidewalk art, platter painting and water gun art.
Choirs from the elementary, middle school and The Songbirds all sang, while the Bourbon Beginning Band, middle school band and high school band did numbers.
Middle school and high school students had a section dedicated to their art projects.
Patrons could see some of the art that won awards at the Gasconade Valley Conference art show.
Works from Eme Hilse (Best in Show and all-conference), Chloe Cobb (all-conference) and Hanna Lopez (honorable mention) were shown.
Middle school students Kaylee Enke, Olivia Rhodes, Piper Sykes and Fredrica Schultz-Ware had their art displayed. Their works were represented at the Missouri Capitol Art Show during Youth Art Month.
