Fire Board Won’t Repeal Codes
The Bourbon Fire Protection District’s board of directors said during its meeting Oct. 25 it will not repeal new occupancy and building codes passed earlier this year, even though a group of residents are threatening an overturn.
“The Board is not unaware of, nor is the Board insensitive to the many concerns we have received from certain business owners in the Bourbon community about the board’s adoption of the Model National Fire Protection Association Commercial Building Codes,” according to a press release.
